

Calvin was born in Ravenna, Ohio on November 19, 1959 to parents Frank and Gertrude (Beers) Slama. Calvin grew up in Mantua, Oh and graduated from Crestwood High School. He was currently employed at GoJo in Stow as a tow motor operator and stocker.
Calvin was a man of great faith and enjoyed singing and talking to his Lord, even up to his last days. Calvin also loved his association with the Full Gospel Mission in Ravenna. He was a hardworking, team player and dedicated to every job he held.
Calvin enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hiking. He enjoyed lounging and watching TV, especially martial arts shows. He also liked to swim and boat with his wife Patty.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patty (Martin) Slama, his daughter Rochelle (Steven) Gorman and his grandson Ayden Gorman. Also surviving are his sisters Judy (Phil) Whaley, Donna (Dave) Peyett, Mary Jo Slama, his seven cats and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, in-laws Patrick and Carol Martin and his nephew Christopher Martin.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Full Gospel Mission, 887 W. Spruce St., Ravenna, Ohio from 10:00 AM until the Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Bill Davis, beginning at 12:00 PM.
