Carl E Christy

Carl E. Christy passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, following complications after surgery. His passing leaves a deep emptiness in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Carl was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his daughter, Donna Jo Bice (Christy); step-son, Charles Flickinger; granddaughter, Ashley Flickinger; and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory with them always.

He is also survived by his brothers, Marion Christy of Florida and John Christy of Brady Lake; sisters, Pam Christy and Sandy Maurer of Ravenna, and Judy Christy of Virginia; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hilda (Shaw) Christy; and his brothers, Wilber (Lee) Christy and Charles Christy Jr.

Carl was a man who found joy in the simple things in life and, most of all, in the people he shared them with. He had a true love for the outdoors and spent many memorable days fishing and hunting with his buddies. He also enjoyed gambling and sharing plenty of laughs and good times with his sisters. His casino buddies held a special place in his life, and the memories they made will not soon be forgotten.

Though he is no longer with us, Carl will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be missed more than words can express, but his memory will remain a part of all those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at: The Lodge at Lake Hodgson, 5331 Lakewood Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
