Carl was born on April 8, 1935, in Braxton County, WV to the late Gilbert and Valaria (Shock) Keller. He made his home, with his wife, Ida Grace, in Ravenna, Ohio, where they raised two sons, Jackie and Carl. He later retired from General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio.
Carl was an avid storyteller and loved retelling stories of his youth and adventures throughout his life. He loved to travel, hunt, and he thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent in his garden.
Carl preached throughout his years and most recently the Ravenna Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, former wives, Ida and Doris Keller, brother, Sylvester “Wayne” Keller, sister, Eva Belle Miller.
Carl is survived by his wife, Lavonne, sons and stepdaughters, Lynda (Dave) McIntyre, Dianne (Ian) Warring, Mona Graves, Linda Doran and stepson, Dennis Keller.
He was a loving grandpa to Zach (Jerilyn) Pemberton, Sarah (Dan) Foster, Rachel (Chris) Starr, Robert, Isaac, and Leanna Keller, David (Laci) McIntyre, Dawn (Jared) Collins, Jennifer (Matt) Germann, Chad Howard and Lee Doran. He is survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Carl leaves behind brothers Jennings “Shorty” (Monique) Keller, Ronald (Donna) Keller, sisters, Sharon (Ronald) Witt, and Linda (Jim) Cogar.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with funeral services officiated by Pastor David Ballert following at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Park. All guests must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
