Born November 7, 1950, to Joseph “Jay” Skrobacs and Helen (Golmitz) Skrobacs of Crescent Heights, Pennsylvania. Carol was a 1968 graduate of California Area High School in California, PA. Carol worked for PennDot and as an x-ray technician. She also spent many years as a homemaker, childcare provider, and piano teacher. Carol was an avid reader, loved to debate politics with her children, watch The Bachelor and was a master of crossword puzzles.
Carol is survived by her loving daughters Nicia (Robert) Cary of Worthington, Ohio, Jaidra (Christopher Harsch) Hennessey of Portland, Oregon, Jarina (Michael Sanders) George of Mooresville, North Carolina. Surviving also are stepchildren Julie George and William George; grandchildren Elena Cary, Dvonce Adams, Jakarra Adams; step grandchildren Bella and Wyatt George, Brandon Naust, sister Nancy (Steve) Breznai, brother Joseph “Joey” (Kathy) Skrobacs, nieces and nephews Nicole Britt, Stevie Breznai, Alyssa Skrobacs, Ashley Skrobacs, and Nathan Skrobacs and their children, and many cousins and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her devoted husband William “Bill” George, her parents Jay and Helen Skrobacs, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pierre Lavertu, Dr. Paul Gibbons, Seidman Cancer Center, the staff at Dublin Methodist 3-West, especially Rachel and Paige, and the compassionate staff at Kobacker House.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Boroski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. Ravenna, on Sunday, April, 7, 2024 from 2pm until the funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dan Caruso, beginning at 3pm. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery will be held at 10am on Monday, April 8th.
