

Catherine Imogene (Scarbrough) Moore, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. She was also welcomed into heaven by her loving husband Charlie and son Chick who had been patiently waiting for her.
Imogene was a loving Christian wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who always thought of others needs before her own. No one ever went hungry, or lacked love and comfort in her home. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Atwater. Imogene played the piano and organ there, was with the Missionary Ladies, and worked there as a secretary, making many church friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Charles Moore Jr., son Charles Moore III who died at age 5, brothers Jimmy and Gerald Scarbrough and her parents Mary and Dee Scarbrough.
Imogene will be sadly missed by her son Craig (Sheila) Moore of Monterey, TN; daughters: Cheryl (Dennis) Whisler of Uniontown, OH and Cindy (John) Ries of Atwater; granddaughters: Laurie Massic, Tracy (J.P.) Pawlikowski, Kelly Hickin, Deana (Matt) Millar, Meghian Moore, Sara (Allen) Kolath, Mandy (Matt) Burdin, and Sherry (Mike) DiTurno; and 13 great-grandchildren: Nick, Samantha, Sabrina, Catie, Lindsey, Haylee, Casey, Shawn, Chance, Chas, Lexi, Sammy, and Zane.
Friends will be received Saturday, December 4, 2010, from 12:00 PM until the 1:00 PM funeral service officiated by Pastor Dan Alexoff at the First Freedom Baptist Church of Brimfield, 2171 Tallmadge Rd., Kent, OH 44240. Interment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Sterling House of Alliance and Harbor Light Hospice for their love and care of our Mom.
