

Charles was born in Akron, Ohio on October 6, 1928. He was raised, went to high school and lived in Medina for much of his life. He retired from the Hausted Co. in Medina where he assembled medical equipment. After retiring he moved to Atwater where he was close to his sister Mary.
Charles was a unique person who did it his way. A U.S. Army veteran, Charles served in Korea during the Korean War. He enjoyed wood-working and completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Charles loved to work outdoors.
Surviving Charles is his sister Mary Knox, his nephew Dennis (Donna) Knox and his nieces: Barbara (John) Petrosky and Delores (Joe) Kimsey. He also leaves his great-nieces and nephews: Casey & Bobby Knox, Alex & Anna Petrosky and Joe & Holly Graham. Also surviving is his special friend Mike Huth and many loving cousins.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents: Clare and Florence Christie and his sister Patricia Anne Christie.
Family will receive friends at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Randolph, Ohio on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 9:30AM until the 10:30AM Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. Thomas Acker S.J. Inurnment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
