Charles N. Gump, 69, of Newton Falls, passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, November 20, 2020.

Charles was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 22, 1950 to parents Charles L. and Beulah (Rupert) Gump. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. serving his country during the Vietnam War and seeing action in both Laos and Cambodia. For many years, he, alongside his late brother Larry, operated Park Maintenance commercial cleaning company. Charles loved fishing, playing pool and playing cards, especially with his son and best friend Shane. He also enjoyed going to flea markets and was an expert model boat builder. His family was important to him, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Charles is survived by his wife of 24 years, Audrey (Richardson) Gump and his children: Brandy (Mike) Underwood, Shane (Amanda) Buck, Amanda (Bobby Long) Buck, Charles (Erica Trzaska) Gump Jr., Tammy McPherson, Crystal Miller and Wendy Cutwright. Surviving also are his step-children: Jennifer (Robert Norris) Falacienski, Christine (Jason) Bell and Joshua (Kelly) Billings. Left also to cherish his memory are his 37 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving him is his sister Carol Dampman (Quentin) Battiest, his brother Danny (Cathy) Gump and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Riccardi, stepfather Charles P. Riccardi and one grandson.

Family will receive friends to celebrate his life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, from 5pm until 7pm. Military Honors will be performed promptly at 5pm. It is required that everyone attending wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family certainly understands if you do not feel comfortable with attending due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
