Charles W. Wise

He was born December 1, 1947, in Akron, Ohio, to parents William H. and Mary Lou (Wohlwend) Wise. Charlie was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish, active in the Farm Bureau, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a machinist in his younger years, but Charlie’s main passion was farming. He was often inventing or fixing things around the farm, or working on one of his antique John Deere tractors. Everyone who knew Charlie will remember him as a hard working, kind, and generous spirit.

Charlie is survived by his mother Mary Lou Wise, his children: Jessica (Scott) Fuller, Tessa Bishop, Beth (Seth) Richardson, Monica (Ike) Holzapfel, Petrina Bishop, and Sarah Wise; his siblings: Diane Berger, Kathy (Bruce) Hartong, Dennis (Linda) Wise, Tricia Martinez, Mary (Richard) Kamerer, Laura (Tyrone) Wilson, Jerry (Judi) Wise, Bunny (Dave) Mazak, Donnie (Brenda) Wise, Theresa (Dan) Horning, Tony (Amy) Wise, and Paul Wise, as well as many friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Papa’s memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Aleena, Arissa, Aidan, Amelia, Marianne, Tad, Matthew, Malana, Drew, Reid, Lillianne, Charlie, and Paul.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Pamela (Fisher) Wise, his first wife Marianne (Schaeufele) Wise, his father William Wise, his grandson Nicholas, and his mothers and fathers-in-law: Marian and Jack Fisher and Dorothy and Robert Schaeufele.

Friends and family will be received Monday, June 28, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd, Mogadore, Ohio, 44260, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Zachary Coulter on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
