He was born April 7, 1956, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Guido and Vivian (Pitzer) Cipriano. Chip was one of the ten Cipriano children. He grew up as a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1974. He later graduated from Riggs Lemar Beauty College in Cuyahoga Falls.
Chip had a larger than life personality and, as many will attest, to know him was to love him. He truly enjoyed life, especially fun and sun. He loved spending time at his pool, on the beach, or boating. Chip also enjoyed riding his Harley and was a member of the fabled Mauve Gang.
Chip had many careers throughout his life. He started at the family pizza shop, Guido’s of Ravenna, then opened Cipriano’s Scissors and Sun, and then he owned the East Main Saloon with his brother Vinny, and was also the owner of Spano’s Bar. He did all of this while working for 20 years at Brown Middle School as the Head Custodial Engineer.
Above all, Chip loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Kemberly Cipriano, who he married on September 27, 1997. Chip is also survived by his daughters: Layla Cipriano, Jessica Cipriano, and Morgan (Kyle) Cipriano-Szabat, his grandchildren: Cailee Robinson, Jason Robinson, and Kensley Szabat and great granddaughter, Giavonna Bradley. He also leaves behind his siblings: Patricia Cipriano, Steve (Colleen) Cipriano, Tina (Larry) Hutchinson, Sam (Karen) Cipriano, Mike Cipriano (Lisa), Marianne Cipriano, Lorrie Cipriano (Chris) and Joey Cipriano. His memory will also be cherished by his many nieces and nephews, who he truly adored as they adored him, and his dear friends Rick and Becky Swartz, Tom and Debbie Moore, and Mike Sorboro. Chip had a fondness for all of his four-legged friends as well, including: Ryker aka Handsome, Sophie, Phoebe, Taygan, and Khloe.
Chip was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Vincent Cipriano, and his mother and father-in-law Wilda and Ken Allen.
