Clint David Whiteford, 60, of Diamond, Ohio, formerly of Potsdam, New York, passed away on July 8, 2026. Born May 18, 1966, in Potsdam, New York, Clint carried with him the steady values of where he began—showing up, doing the work, and doing it with a quiet pride that those who knew him came to rely on.
He graduated from Knox Memorial High School in Russell, New York, and built a life defined by effort and responsibility. A truck driver by trade, Clint most recently worked with Werab Enterprises in Atwater, Ohio. He approached his work the way he approached everything: with determination, consistency, and an unshakable commitment to providing for the people he loved.
Clint shared more than 24 years with Lisa Jane Stiles, and the two decided to be married on June 17, 2016. Together, they formed the center of a family he cared for with steadfast devotion. He is survived by his children, Chad Whiteford, Matthew (Amanda) Smith, Tyler (Emily) Whiteford, and Amber Whiteford; and by his grandchildren, Opal Whiteford, Paisley Smith, Cole Smith, and Raelynn Smith. He is also survived by his siblings, Lisa (Tim) Powers and Meggan Whiteford.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents Edward David Whiteford and Elaine Carrie (Garrow) Whiteford.
A man who appreciated both the outdoors and the simple satisfaction of a day well spent, Clint was part of the Brunner Hill Hunting Club in South Colton, New York. He took pride in tending to his 30 acres and was a former beef cattle farmer—work that suited his hands-on nature and his respect for the land. He was also a huge New York Jets, New York Knicks, and New York Mets fan, loyal through every season. And when it was time to clear his head and enjoy the road, he loved to ride his Harley-Davidson.
Those closest to Clint will remember not only how hard he worked, but how faithfully he put family first—and how his sense of humor could lighten a moment, even when life was demanding. His legacy lives on in the family he cared for, the routines he kept, and the steady love he gave without needing to make a show of it.
Cremation has taken place and no formal services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Clint's memory to the American Cancer Society. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com
