Born to Wayne and Dorolene Pyles, Connie was the second of four daughters. She shared a special bond with her sisters, Linda, Gail, her husband Michael, and Tina, who will dearly miss their adventures together and the memories they made along the way.
Connie shared 56 years of marriage with her husband, John King. Together, they built a family that includes their two sons, Mark and his wife, Tracey, and Eric and his wife, Jacqueline, affectionately known as Jackie. Connie was a cherished grandmother to Riley, Carter, Luke, Kendal, and Lily. Her love lives on through each of them, and she will be deeply missed as a wife, Mom, and Grandma.
A graduate of Rootstown High School, Connie dedicated 40 years of work to Allen Aircraft. She was also deeply involved in the Ravenna Church of Christ, where her faith and fellowship were important parts of her life.
Connie loved pets, and her favorite color was yellow. A yellow flower or a bright patch of sunshine will forever offer her loved ones a simple, beautiful reminder of her.
During the last three years of her life, Connie lived with Eric and Jackie while battling Parkinson’s disease. Those years together became a meaningful part of their family’s story, filled with the everyday moments that become especially precious when someone we love is gone. Her family remembers the fullness of her life—the marriage she shared with John, the family she loved, her faith, her work, and the adventures she enjoyed with her sisters.
Connie’s absence will be felt in family gatherings, in her church community, and in the quiet moments when those who loved her wish they could hear her voice again. Whether remembered as Connie, Lou Lou, Etchie, Mom, or Grandma, she will always hold a place in their hearts.
Family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Ravenna Church of Christ, 3897 Summit Rd, Ravenna, from 11am until the funeral service beginning at 12pm. Interment at Grandview Memorial Park will immediately follow.
Connie’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the nurses and staff of O’Neill Hospice in Lakewood for the exceptional care and compassion given to Connie.
To honor Connie, the family would appreciate memorial donations in her name to Parkinson’s Foundation at Parkinsons.org.
