Connor D Whipkey

Connor D. Whipkey, age 24 of Ravenna, passed away August 16, 2025, after a tragic automobile accident. He was born April 23, 2001, to parents Juanita Kapica and Christopher Whipkey. Connor graduated from Ravenna High School in 2019.

He was a good kid, and was turning into a good young man. Connor absolutely adored his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed being the fun uncle.

He enjoyed traveling, hiking, and riding his dirt bike. He loved to be outdoors, and cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Connor is survived by his mother Juanita Kapica, his father Christopher (Kendal) Whipkey, his siblings: Breanna Hull, Chelsea (Shawn Chaney) Harvey, Tanner Harvey, Danielle Harvey, Camron Back, Olive Whipkey, Kenny Whipkey, his grandfathers Dave Whipkey and Anthony John Kapica Jr., his great-grandmother Essie Sellers, as well as his nieces and nephews: Rylee, Tinsley, Hadlee, Cali, Lincoln, Joshua Connor, Avalinah, Noah, along with many loving extended family, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister Bridget Whipkey, his grandmothers Linda Sellers and Kathleen Kapica, and his step-grandmother Sharon.

Friends and family will be received Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. There will also be a celebration of Connor’s life on Saturday, August 30, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, at 8899 Coit Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266, please bring a side dish.
