Cynthia Ann Steele

She was born December 2, 1972, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Pete and Carol (Cottrill) Steele. Cindy graduated from Southeast High School in 1990, and was a lifelong resident of Portage County.

Cindy was a loving and dedicated home health aide employee of Buckeye Residential Services, helping people with disabilities for many years. She enjoyed fishing with her fiancé Brian Dale Freeman and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the beach.

Cindy is survived by her father Pete Steele, her brother Dale (Jeanette) Steele, her daughter Courtney (Justin) Reulbach, her son Peter (Katelyn) Kaminski, as well as her sister-in-law Becky Steele, her nephew Tyler Steele, her niece Brianna Steele, her aunts Patsy Fox and Linda Welty, along with many loving cousins.

Cindy was preceded in death by her fiancé Brian Freeman, her mother Carol Cottrill Steele, her brother Raymond Charles Steele, her uncles Dale Cottrill Jr. and Curtis Cottrill, as well as her grandparents Anna Mesko Steele and Raymond H. Steele, and Mary Cottrill Barnes and Dale R. Cottrill Sr.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Edinburg Township Hall, 6856 Tallmadge Rd, Rootstown, OH 44272.
