

He was born in Ravenna on October 9, 1941 to Robert J. and M. Catherine (Ladd) Bunker. His education included graduation from Randolph High School and from Kent State University, from which he received a business degree. He put this education to good use through several positions with various companies, eventually retiring from an expediting position with Bechtel Corporation in 2010. Although he enjoyed traveling for work, his main love was always managing and caring for the animals on his family farm, Bunker Black Angus.
David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Lib) (nee Porter); their sons Robert, William (Diane), David (Kristi), and Donald (Lisa Goth); grandchildren Danielle (TJ) Ganoe, Ethan, Jared, Jacob, Clinton, Alicia, and Alex, and their great-grandson Tucker Ganoe; his sisters Evelyn (Bernard) Skidmore, Jayne Warner, Roberta (John) Engelhart, Mary Boyd and his sister-in-law Nancy (David) McQuilken, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth’s parents Kenneth and Joan Porter, his grandson David Lucas, and his brother-in-law Samuel Warner.
The family would also like to acknowledge and thank the many people involved in his care and well-being over the years, both at home and during his stay at the facilities of Altercare.
Cremation has taken place, and, at the family’s request, there will be no services at this time. A future announcement will be made regarding a celebration of life with family and friends when circumstances are deemed more conducive to celebrations.
