Derrick was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 14, 1983 to parents Neal Howard and Brenda Hardwick.
Derrick had been lovingly taken care of by Roxie and Delmas Tanner of Atwater before becoming a resident of Hattie Larlham. Most recently, he resided at Caprice Health Care in North Lima, Ohio. Derrick was a happy and fun loving guy and everyone who encountered him just loved him.
Derrick is survived by his sister Donna (Exidus) Sadler, his niece Jasmine Johnson and nephews Exidus Sadler and Tyler Martin.
He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Walker and his grandparents James and Louise Hirsch.
His family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Tanner’s and all the staff at Caprice Health Care for their compassionate care given to Derrick.
Memorial donations in his name can be made to the Hattie Larlham Foundation.
Cremation has been honored and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
