She was born on January 6, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Ray Virgil and Gertrude (Black) Smith. Diane worked in the office at Smithers Oasis for many years before becoming the church secretary at New Testament Baptist Church.
Diane was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed needlework and quilting, often giving quilts as gifts to family and friends. She also won several awards at the Portage County Fair for her quilting.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Earl Foster, and her second husband L.C. Cook.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at New Testament Baptist Church on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM with Pastor Bob Burgess officiating.
