Divian “Dwain” was born July 6, 1932, in Phillipi, West Virginia to Hartzel and Lundy Skidmore. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War as a First Gunnery Sergeant. He was proud of his 8 years of service to his nation. He worked at the A.C. Williams Co. until early retirement.
Divian was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda (Posey) Skidmore, son David Skidmore and daughter Carla Skidmore.
Surviving him are his children Diana (Bryan) Boston of Ravenna, Angela (Bill) Hamm of Brimfield, Steven (Becky) Skidmore and Michael Skidmore. Also left to cherish his memory are 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Per his wishes, cremation is honored and a inurnment with full military services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
