Eleanor Maxine Boston
April 8, 1929 – November 6, 2018
Eleanor Maxine Boston, 89, with her family by her side, passed away at the Arbors of Streetsboro on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Maxine was born in Zanesville, Ohio on April 8, 1929 to parents Lester and Margaret (Guss) Bowers. Maxine had been retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital where she enjoyed a career as a nursing assistant. She also loved her involvement for over 25 years as a 4-H Advisor with small animals at the Portage County Randolph Fair. She had also been active in the Ohio Horsemen’s Council and enjoyed camping, especially trips to Cooks Forest. Maxine is survived by her daughters: Pam Bell, Linda (Joseph) Chesnik, Debbie Pettitt and her sons: John “Ted” (Debbie) Boston, Jeff Boston and Jeremy Boston. Surviving also are her grandchildren: Brian, Darren & Matthew Himes, Richard & Kristen McIntyre, Brandon & Bradley Pettitt, Cody & Nathan Boston, Payten, Kassidy & Jessica Boston and Alisha Bryner. Nineteen great-grandchildren also survive Maxine along with her brother Gerald (Sally) Bowers. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Christine Jordan. Family will receive friends to celebrate Maxine’s life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Shearer Community Center, 9355 Newton Falls Rd., Paris Township.
