Elizabeth J. "Betty" Fodor Blake

She was born March 28, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Szucs) Fodor. Betty was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, caring mother, and proud grandparent. A long time resident of Shalersville, she was a fun loving person that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years William P. Blake Sr.; her children: William P. Blake Jr. of Northeast, MD, Richard T. (Marcine) Blake of League City, TX, Kenneth L. (Bonnie) Blake of Bermuda Dunes, CA, and David A. (Dina) Blake of Shalersville. Also survived by her grandchildren: Jaclyn, Jaime, Clifford, Richard, Kaitlyn, Jenna, Matthew, Christopher, Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Haiden, Madelyn, Carter, Milyn; and her sisters Irene Herendic of Strongsville and Margaret Klein of Streetsboro.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister Mary, her brother James, and her daughter-in-law Wanetta.

Friends will be received Friday, January 21, 2011, from 5-7 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor David Ballert on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
