She was born November 17, 1951, in Warren, Ohio, to parents Robert and Betty (Anderson) Hammond. Carol graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1970. She has worked for the Alliance BMV for many years.
Carol was a member of the Deerfield Friends Church. She was an avid bowler and was a member of three leagues. She also a Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed reading, especially romance novels. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being “Memaw” to her grandkids.
Carol is survived by her parents and her children: Christina (John Beltz) Sheesley, Dennis Sheesley Jr. Robin (Coolidge) Greer, and her granddaughter Jazzalyn Williams, whom she raised as her own daughter. Also surviving are her grandchildren: DJ, David, Jacob, and Ashley, her great-grandchildren: Asphen, Aezra, Leilani, Aleah, Joshua, Lilly, Levi, and Presley, as well as her sisters Margie, Cathy, Joyce, Terrie (Ray), along with many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She also leaves behind her dear friend and partner in crime, Margaret (Jim) Faulhaber.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Dennis J. Sheesley Sr., her grandchildren: Gary, Tammy Jo, Amy, and Jeramie, and her sister Roberta.
Friends and family will be received Friday, December 17, 2021, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Deerfield Cemetery.
