Eugene Arthur "Gene" Schneff

He was born June 27, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, to parents Eugene and Mary Elizabeth (George) Schneff. Gene worked as a tow truck operator for many years. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army, the National Guard, and the Army Reserves. He was a life member of VFW Post 3124 and the Army Navy Garrison 150. Gene was also a former member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, especially when it led to a trip to Las Vegas.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife Nancy (Kuntz) Schneff, whom he married on July 22, 2004. His memory will also be cherished by children: Lisa (Eric) Howitt, Ben (Lori Brangle) Schneff, Marybeth Schneff, and Sydney Schneff; grandchildren: Tiffany and Erik Howitt; sisters: Cindy Mitasky, Marilyn Strong, and Lois Riley; as well as his extended family of Rick Warner, Katie Hicks, and Aubrey Hicks.

Cremation has taken place and friends will be received on Monday, February 16, 2015, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Pastor David Ballert officiating the memorial service at 6:00 PM.
