She was a resident of Rootstown for the last 88 years and graduated from Rootstown High School. Her most precious and treasured moments were spent at the farm gardening and she loved the smell of freshly cut grass. She enjoyed spending the winters in Florida in their motorhome with her late husband Everett. She was a true animal lover. One of her passions was making dozens of Christmas cookies which she generously shared with family and friends.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Brett (Katie) of Akron, Nancy (Sam) of Cape Coral, Florida, Dave (Susie) of Ft Myers, Florida, Grandchildren, Keith (Theresa), Kevin (Robin), and David all of Cape Coral, Florida, and her Great Grandson Lucas also of Cape Coral, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry, and sisters, Gladys, and Mildred.
Evelyn will be missed by all of her family members and many friends alike.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, September 19, 2018, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services officiated by Pastor Scott Hindel at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery.
