He was born September 25, 1947, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Walter L. and Hazel (Rhinehart) Harper. Gale retired as a machinist with RB&W, formerly known as Lampson Session.
Gale is survived by his daughters: Cathy Miley and Rebecca (Kevin) Bennett, as well as his grandchildren: Samantha and Katelynn Miley, and Alexandria and Acie Lee Bennett. He is also survived by brothers Gene (Barbara) Harper and Tom (Charlotte) Harper, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Gale was preceded in death by his wife Linda (Martz) Harper, his parents, his brothers: Walter, Jerald, Jack, Roger, and Richard Harper, as well as his sisters: Leona Ferguson, Margaret Anderson, and Janet Tackett.
Cremation has taken place and final resting place will be Maple Grove Cemetery on a later date.
