He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Davis.
George leaves behind his children, Melissa Bowers (Mark), Jonathan (Jen), and Elisabeth Scheffer (Michael). He also leaves behind his brother, Steve Davis, his sister, Kathy Davis (Guy Fox), as well as his seven grandchildren. He had fond memories of his cousins.
George graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1973. George enjoyed working with fellow workers at Burger Iron, from which he retired after years of service. In his later years, George discovered a deep passion for wood carving, a hobby that brought him immense joy. His talent and dedication were evident in the numerous awards he earned for his bird carvings.
George loved the playful banter with his friends and relatives and was quite the storyteller.
George’s memory will be treasured by all who know him. His warmth and kindness will be sorely missed by his friends.

Private family services have been held and interment has taken place at West Cemetery in Palmyra.
