She was born May 22, 1935, in Parma, Ohio, the daughter of Hector and Violet (Williams) Hon. Family was most important in Gwen’s life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Gwen will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her ability to make friends with everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Gallagher of Mantua, son Terry Whaley of Shalersville, grandchildren: Amy (Dick) Kuntzman, Tierian “Ian” (Leila) Gallagher, and Brien Gallagher, great-grandsons: Jayden Kuntzman and Lukas Gallagher. Gwen’s memory will also be cherished by her brothers John (Judy) Hon of California, Dick Hon of Florida, and Tom (Glenda) Hon of Cincinnati. In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her husband Allen “Dale” Whaley.
