He was born October 26, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Joseph Glenn and Effie Mae (Enlow) Murray. Harold married his beloved Janet Harrington on June 2, 1958. Two weeks later, he joined the US Army and proudly served his country.
Harold worked for Lawson’s Milk Company and later retired from Reiter Dairy. In his “free time” he took care of his family farm. Harold was also a former member of the Rootstown Volunteer Fire Department and will be fondly remembered for his unique sense of humor.
Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years Janet Murray, children: Deb (Tom) Tortorella, Jay Murray, and Tammy (Jeff) Drabic, his grandchildren: Gina (Richard) Hildebrand, Mike (Lauren) Tortorella, Zach (Kirsten) Murray, Ana Murray, Austin Drabic, Caitlyn Drabic and his great-grandchildren Sophia Hildebrand and Addie Tortorella. Harold is also survived by his sisters: Vera Hamrick, Gloria Luzader, and Joyce Wyers, along with many loving nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Gerald Murray, Enlow Murray, Shirley Courtright, and Janet Coleman.
