Helen Elizabeth Wahl Folk

She was born May 1, 1924, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Krieger) Wahl. After graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School, she married her husband, John, and moved to their dairy farm on Randolph Rd. Helen was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Suffield where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. She loved to do embroidery and crocheting, especially being able to give her finished work to her family and friends.

Survivors include her children: Sandy Cline of Tampa, FL, Bill (Nancy) Folk of Cuyahoga Falls, Christine Meloy of Randolph, and Peggy (Earl) Lipscomb of Norton; grandchildren: Brenton, James, and Aaron Arbogast, Jeff and Billy Folk, Nick Folk, Lisa Howitt, Heather Winning, Katie Meloy, Cheryl Sanders, Jamie Willis, and Eric Cline; also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, with another expected soon.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband John Folk in 1985. She was also preceded by her infant son Richard Folk, daughter Virginia Arbogast, son John Folk Jr., brothers Joe, George, and Francis Wahl, and her sister Catherine Hippley.

Cremation has taken place, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Ed Wieczorek at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 8, 2010, at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260. Final resting place will be Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
