

She was born September 22, 1932, in Randolph, Ohio, to parents Hugo and Katherine (Rodenbucher) Brown. She was born in her parent’s home, raised on the family vegetable farm and stayed there her entire life until the Lord called her back to his home.
Helen graduated from Randolph High School in 1950 and was a devoted member of St. Joseph Parish. She enjoyed playing cards every weekend and taught her children and grandchildren how to play. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of the Randolph Garden Club. Helen was also active on the family farm. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and Oma.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband Anthony “Tony” Heppe, who she married on May 2, 1953. She is also survived by her children: Tony (Debi) Heppe, Linda (Mike) Dussel, Ron (Pat) Heppe, Tim (Kim) Heppe, Lisa (Ed) McGlothlin, and Jenni (Jeff) Martin, as well as her 16 grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Marga, her granddaughter Lindsay, and her siblings: Katherine, Mary, John, and Ann.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Kevin Bertleff on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Randolph. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
