Herb was born November 29. 1922 in Mineral Ridge, Ohio to parents John Daugherty and Clara (Purser) Daugherty and lived much of his life in Niles, Ohio. Herb was a role model for his sons and was known for his work ethic.
Herb is survived by his brother Jim Daugherty; his sons: Joe Daugherty and Bill (Janice) Daugherty; his step-children: Linda
Osborne, Diane Edenfield, and John (Michel) Osborne; as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Herb was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Anna Mae Daugherty, his second wife Virginia "Ginny" Daugherty, and 11 siblings.
Per Herb's wishes his earthly remains have been cremated, and no services have been planned.
