Hollie Roy Jarvis

Hollie was born in Sleith, W. Va. on January 16, 1919 to parents Arch and Susie Jarvis and came to Ravenna in 1941. He was a retired engineer from Ford Motor Company. Hollie was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving in the European Theater. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals along with numerous other awards and decorations. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1055 and a life member of the D.A.V.

Hollie is survived by his daughter Belva Centrich, and two grandsons, Gary and Jeff.

Preceding Hollie in death were his parents and his wife, Helen.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 11:00am until the 1:00pm funeral service, officiated by Pastor David Ballert at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
