Jacqueline R. "Jackie" Marozzi

She was born May 30, 1931, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, a daughter of the late Albert and Rebecca (Penrod) Marietta. Jackie was an active member of Immaculate Conception Parish, belonging to Young at Heart and the Lady’s Guild. She worked as a waitress at Cherry’s Steak House, Silver Spur Ranch, and Elite’s Restaurant before retiring as a clerk for the Portage County Auditor’s Office in 1992. Jackie loved to read and was an avid seamstress. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians on TV and later discussing the games with her sister-in-law Justine.

Jackie is now reunited with her beloved husband Anthony R. “Tony” Marozzi, whom she married February 14, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and James Marietta, sisters Sarah Cates and Nancy Marietta, and brother-in-law Angelo Trivelli.

She is survived by her daughter Toni Sue Orteca, sons: Mickey (Tami) Marozzi, Victor (Lorie) Marozzi, and Mark Marozzi. Jackie’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Nicole, JP, Andrew, Anthony James, Collin, Lea, and Anthony Michael, her great-granddaughter Abbiegail, as well as her sister-in-law and dear friend Justine Trivelli.

Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Wednesday, April 18, 2012, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend John-Michael Lavelle at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna.
