

James was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 1, 1917 to parents John and Martha Eagleson. He was retired from General Motors in Lordstown after ten years of service. James enjoyed bowling and participated in the “Swinging 60’s” bowling league of Alliance. He also enjoyed travelling, hunting and going out dancing. James was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of the Alliance VFW Post 1036 and a member of the National Rifle Association.
James is survived by his wife Ethel M. Eagleson and his daughters: Karen (Larry) Wickliff of Columbus, Laura (Jim) Randall of Hartville and Susan Eagleson of Brady Lake. Surviving also are his 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Deborah Eagleson.
James was preceded in death by his first wife Elise, his sons' James and Michael D. Eagleson, and brothers’ William and John.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 12:00 P.M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral service at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.
