James was born on July 27, 1929 in Ravenna, Ohio. He was the son of James Clifford and Doris G. (Black) Moore.
Preceding Jim in death was his wife Jeanette and his sisters Maxine Lewis and Lawanda Mandalari.
He is survived by his son Thomas (Debbie) Moore.
Jim was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna and served on many committees. He was a member and past president of the Ravenna Kiwanis Club, former member of the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Ravenna Township Board of Zoning Appeals and Boy Scout Committeeman. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving two years with the Army Engineers during the Korean conflict.
One of Jim’s proudest accomplishments was founding the H&M Rubber Company at the age of 50. He was an avid outdoorsman and fished many bodies of water around the world.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, from 11am until the funeral service, officiated by Pastor Norma Bates, beginning at 12pm. Interment with full military honors will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
