

Jane was born in Akron, Ohio on August 17, 1932, to parents James & Jennie (Herbert) Warner. She grew up in Rootstown and graduated from Rootstown High School. She went to beauty school. In 1953, Jane married Warner Hughes. They spent a couple years in Oklahoma during Warner’s service in the U.S. Army. When they moved back to Suffield, Ohio, she was a homemaker.
She loved her children, grandkids & great granddaughters and helped them with all their activities. She helped Warner run their business. Jane loved to crochet, bake and maintain the lawn. She was proud of taking great care of her home inside and out. They were members of Suffield United Church of Christ.
Jane is survived by her husband Warner Hughes and her children Richard (Kathie) Hughes, Edith (Phillip Spreitzer) Hughes and Kenny (Cindy) Hughes. Left also to cherish her memory are her beloved grandchildren Jennifer (Jeff) Roe, Alan Hughes, Nelson Hughes, Carson (Jocelyn McMillen) Hughes and great-grandchildren Lilly Roe and Joslyn Hughes. She also leaves her brother Charles (Deborah) Warner and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Surviving also are her special caregivers Carrie, Nicole, Victoria, Tina, and JoAnn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Gertrude (Harry) Wray and Lela (Gus) Caporaletti.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, from 11am until the memorial service, officiated by Pastor Kenny Hagin, beginning at 12:00pm. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Edinburg Cemetery.
