She was born January 31, 1925, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Charles B. and Hilda (Marsh) Bates. Janice retired from the Ravenna Library in 1995. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and flowers, and was a member of the New Roots Garden Club of Rootstown.
Janice is survived by her son Daniel BanDrosky of Rootstown and her sister Joyce Bates of Hudson. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael BanDrosky on June 23, 1995, and her son Timothy BanDrosky on July 15, 2012.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be celebrated by Reverend Jared Williams on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at 10:00 AM at the Rootstown United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Homeland Cemetery.
