Jeanette Ann Silsby

Jeanette was born on September 14, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Martin and Kathleen (O’Brien) Gyongyos and raised in the Catholic faith. She attended the University of Akron and earned an LPN degree from North Coast Medical Academy in Kent. Jeanette went on to work in several nursing homes in North Carolina and Ohio. She also enjoyed time spent as a home health nurse. Jeanette retired from working in addiction recovery services.

In her spare time she enjoyed attending drag races, concerts going out to different restaurants. She loved the water and time spent on the boat made her very happy. Most of all, Jeanette was a loving, caring person to all and deeply loved her family and grandson.

Left to cherish her memory is her companion of over 30 years, Carl Jarosz, her son Wes (Jessica Oliver) Gyongyos and grandson Zander Oliver. She also leaves her sisters Margie (Dan) McConahy, Tammie Gyongyos and brothers Marty, Tom & Bill Gyongyos. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews and her best friend Karen.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Kathleen Gyongyos.

Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4pm until 6pm, where funeral services, officiated by Chaplain William Wisniewski, will be held on Friday, April 11, at 11am. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
