

Jerry was born November 13, 1931, in Brady Lake, Ohio.
Jerry worked at Darwall in Ravenna for 18 years then was employed as a pressman for the Record Courier, retiring after 28 years of service. He was a member of the National Guard from 1949 to 1954. Jerry enjoyed woodworking, especially building birdhouses. He truly enjoyed people and was a friend to everyone he met. He had a great sense of humor and was a real jokester. Jerry loved all animals and even had a pet squirrel. Jerry was a great dad and grandpa and loved his close knit family. He liked to ride motorcycles with his wife, Edna and spending leisure time camping and also relaxing at the beach in South Carolina.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edna. He also leaves his daughters: Jerrie Lynn (Joe) Henline and Allison Hazel. Surviving also are his grandchildren; Joshua and Justin Henline, his sisters: Virginia Morton and Carol Waller and his brother, Vance A. Hazel. He will also be sadly missed by all of his loving nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie, and his sisters: Peggy Douthitt and Joan Hopkins.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M., at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Vernon White and his nephew, Pastor Tony Salvatori officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
