JoAnne Marie Overholt Pittman

She was born October 24, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Lawrence and Olive (Bailey) Overholt. JoAnne was a homemaker, but also had several jobs throughout her life including pre-school teacher at Ravenna Assembly of God and as an aide at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother who was known as “GG”.

JoAnne loved music and sang with the Privett Family Gospel Group, touching the lives of many through her musical ministry. She also enjoyed traveling, especially the family vacations to Myrtle Beach.

JoAnne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Trina and Bob Woodall, her grandchildren: Tiffany (Dustin) Summers, Amber Singer, and Heather (Scott) Kearley. Her memory will also be cherished by her great-grandchildren Joseph Singer and Ryleigh Summers, as well as her brother Paul (Mary) Overholt, her sisters Martha Overholt and Ruth (Fred Coladonato) Tinlin, along with many nieces and nephews.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Pittman, and her brother Carl Overholt.

Friends will be received Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Ravenna Assembly of God Church, 6401 State Route 14, Ravenna. Reverend Gary Beck will officiate the funeral service immediately following at 6:00 PM. Private burial will take place in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
