I have had so many friends message me and tell me either their Son or Daughter had Jody for a teacher and how much they loved her. I remember the day she was born. We lived in a trailer on Grandma and Grandpa’s farm. I was 10 years old and I got up and walked out to the kitchen. Grandma had already come over and taped a note to the countertop. It read “Jody Lynn Graening” was born this morning! I was so excited I ran back to the bedroom and woke Mom and Dad up. Everyone was so excited! I’ll never forget that morning. You were an amazing person and teacher. You touched so many lives. Rest In Peace Cousin. Love you!

I can still remember the field trip to the Akron Aeros, and the day after in your class we made baseball cupcakes with white icing and Twizzlers. You had a moon shaped desk at Tappan when you taught me, and your carpet had the Alphabet around the trim. There was a time at recess where I bonked my head on the slide and you took me in to get ice while i was crying. You never failed any of your kids, you truly touched so many lives and I am so glad that I had the chance to be one of them! Rest in Peace, the world has lost a beautiful women and a beautiful soul! You will be missed!

Judy & George, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Jody at the class reunion in September and she had such a kind and beautiful spirit. I will always remember her welcoming, friendly smile. I can only imagine the thousands of lives she has touched over the years with her kindness. I did not meet Jody, and I know what a wonderful daughter she was . I wish I would have known her. This doesn't count for a memory, but for a blessing and Judy beamed with joy when she spoke of Jody. I know Judy & George thought the world of her as well as their other children. My prayers are with all, Judy & George Graening, and the Oesch family and all friends, all the lives
of those she touched.
May this special angel rest comfortably
In the heavens above. Amen

I had the honor of knowing Jody this past year. Each Wednesday I would pass her room on my way to volunteer in First Grade. Many times in the hallway we would chat about kids. She was special in that way always positive about children. I told her I would love for her to have my granddaughter next year. She smiled an said that would be great. Jody an I had something in common we both taught in her room. I use to tease her an say your room is so exciting for children. She was so organized great things were being learned there. I'll miss her leading the students out at the end of the day. Always a smile on her face an a kind word for all.
