John Edward Allison

He was born August 9, 1959, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Lorain Everet “Pete” and Anna Mary (Johnson) Allison. John graduated from Akron Garfield High School. He had a long career in the tire and rubber industry, most recently with KSBI in Hudson.

John always was a hardworking man. Several years ago, John and his wife, Catherine, decided to move to Randolph and pursue their passion for horses. They opened the Leap of Faith Farm and he enjoyed the peaceful country living.

John is survived by his beloved wife Catherine (Tittle) Allison, who he married December 9, 1978. He is also survived by his son Chad Allison, his daughter Jillian (Adam) Brewer, grandson Chad Allison Jr., brother Jack Allison, sisters Kimberly Hockenbrocht and Karen (Scott) Winn, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Phil Ross on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery Chapel in Randolph.
