John Geiger Jr.

He was born February 20, 1915, in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late John and Barbara (Rhiening) Geiger Sr. John was a machinist and welder who retired from Monarch 39 years ago. After retirement, he operated a farm in Ewington, Ohio, until returning to Randolph to live with his brother Conrad.

He is survived by his son John C. Geiger of Tennessee; step-sons: David Greene of Jackson and Danny Greene of Arizona; sisters: Barbara Booher of Randolph and Elizabeth Thalman of Akron; brothers: Conrad “Kony” (Grace) Geiger of Randolph and Phillip (Sue) Geiger of Randolph.

John was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Geiger, his parents, brother Henry Geiger, and his step-son Donnie Greene.

Funeral services will be officiated by Chaplain Dan Tayman at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the Hillside Cemetery Chapel in Randolph. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
