John was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio on June 22, 1958 to parents Vincent and Eileen (Moepps) DiFranco. John was a truck driver most of his life until his recent illness. He enjoyed deer hunting, mowing the lawn, and in his younger days riding his ATV. John liked to watch sports and because his son is a big Steelers fan, he rooted for the other team, whoever they were that were playing the Steelers. He really enjoyed watching western movies, the Andy Griffith Show, barbequing, playing putt-putt and working on cars. John adored his son’s dog “Peanut” but most of all he loved his family and grandchildren and the times spent with them gathered around his son’s pool in the summer.
John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shirley DiFranco and his son John (Jennifer) DiFranco. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Olivia “Sweet Pea” DiFranco, Tyler Croasman, Jason (Delcina) Croasman and his mother-in-law Shirley Yerega. John will also be sadly missed by his siblings: Vincent “Jimmy” DiFranco, Charles “Chuck” (Dee) DiFranco, Joseph “Joe” (Cindy) DiFranco, Theresa Lipinski and his sister-in-law Jeanette DiFranco.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Anthony and George DiFranco.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom St., Ravenna, from 9:00am until the 11:00am Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Daniel Caruso.
