Joseph was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on October 3, 1951 to parents Joseph Bernard and Dorothy Lorraine (Ross) Leacock.
He attended Maryvale High school and then went on to trade school earning a certificate in electronics. Joseph enjoyed a long career as a mechanic all of his life, working in this field in one capacity or another until retirement and had worked at Lou’s Transmission in Garrettsville for six years. He was an avid CB radio enthusiast who loved conversing with his friends. He went by the handle “Jigsaw”.
Joseph was very kind and a people person. He would give the shirt off his back if anyone needed it. He was a very spiritual person, following a combination of Christian and Native American belief. Joseph enjoyed being “right” when discussing topics of interest to him. He loved watching old TV shows, especially westerns.
Joseph is survived by his siblings Alan Jay (Julia) Roemer and Patricia Lynne Leacock. Surviving also is his nephew Jason (Krystal) Kelley and great-niece & nephew Grace and Owen Kelley. Left also to cherish his memory is his friend “Bumper Jack”.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his wishes cremation has been honored and the family will celebrate his life at a later date.
