Kelly L Batsch

Kelly graduated from Rootstown High School in 1975. He loved playing rock and roll music. Kelly was in several local bands over 50 years, playing the guitar and keyboard. He was a lifetime member of the Kent Elks Lodge 1377.

Kelly was an RV tech for over 40 years until his retirement in 2021. Most of his career was spent working at Camper Care with his lifelong friend and band mate Bud Sworak. He also spent many summers boating and camping for relaxation and fun.

Kelly is survived by his beloved wife Sharon (Rhoads) Batsch, who he married June 29, 1990. He is also survived by his children: Ina (Erik), Kelly Jr., Matt, and Jenna (Erich), his grandchildren: Ethan, Gabe, Emily, Gentry, Briley, Gracie, Jayden, and Julian, as well as his siblings: Theresa, Frank, Tim, Robin, and Andy, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bob.

His wishes for cremation are being honored. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Ravenna Elks Lodge, 776 N Freedom St, Ravenna. In honor of Kelly’s love for music, please wear your favorite rock and roll themed attire.
