

He was born July 5, 1921, in Akron, Ohio, to parents John A. and Elizabeth M. (Horning) Jenior. Lamar graduated from Randolph High School in 1939. He was the co-owner of Jenior Ford Sales in Randolph, taking over the business from his father in 1951 until his retirement in 1999.
Lamar was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving in WWII overseas in England for 39 months. He was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and the Catholic War Veterans. Mr. Jenior was a founding member of the Randolph Lions Club and recipient of the Melvin E. Jones Award for Lion of the Year. He also served on the Randolph Fire Department, the Portage County Dealers Association, and as a director for Second National Bank.
Lamar is survived by his children: Sandra (William) Huber, Douglas (Patsy) Jenior, Thomas (Fab) Jenior, Lee (Bonnie) Jenior, Pam (Rick) Purses, and Mitch Jenior. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Kenneth (Amie) Huber, Matthew Huber, Sean Huber, Christine (Mike) Gorby, Greg Jenior, Tammy Jenior, Thomas M. Jenior, Nicholas (Mark) Jenior, Jessica (Andrew) Stankovich, Nicholas Fitzthum, Matthew Jenior, Susan Marazza, Anthony (Johanna) Marazza, Jeremy (Karen) Purses, Nathan (Angela) Purses; as well as his great-grandchildren: Kayla, Andrew, Claire, Cameron, Kyleigh, Caiden, Aubrey, Mallory, Jay, Olivia, Laila, Holden, Gianna, Salvatore, Brylie, Xavier, and Isabel.
Lamar was preceded in death by his beloved wife Normae Jenior on October 13, 1997. He was also preceded by his parents, his grandsons Ed and Josh Huber, his sisters Isabel McCormick and Edna Chaddick, and his brother Louis Jenior.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Thomas Acker S.J. at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260. Interment will follow with military honors at St. Joseph Cemetery, and there will be a time of fellowship at the St. Joseph K of C Hall.
