Louise Malone

Louise Malone (Jerald), age 97, peacefully departed this life on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and devotion of her family. Throughout her long and beautiful journey, she moved through life with a gentle grace, steadfast love, and deep compassion that profoundly touched everyone blessed to know her.

Born on November 25, 1928, Louise was the third child of the late Rev. Mitchell Jerald, Sr., and Emma Jerald. Growing up in a home anchored by her father’s Baptist ministry, she developed a lifelong foundation of faith, family, and resilience. As a young girl attending Rosedale High School, she found great joy in playing the piano, singing alongside her family, and caring for her younger siblings.

In 1948 on her 20th birthday, Louise married the love of her life, Wilfred Malone, Sr. To this union six children were born: Wilfred, Jr., Ronald, Lynn, Gary, Paul, and Sandra. In 1954, the family relocated from Birmingham to Cleveland, Ohio. A woman of strong work ethic and talent, Louise spent her early years caring for local families before joining Stouffer’s Research and Development Kitchen as a cashier and culinary contributor. There, her creativity helped shape one of the brand's signature classics—their iconic French Bread Pizza. Later in life, she and Arthur successfully ventured into entrepreneurship as real estate investors and landlords.

Above all, Louise’s heart belonged to her home. She was an extraordinary cook whose legendary hospitality made everyone feel welcomed and cherished. A prayer warrior in the truest sense, she consistently spoke life, hope, and blessing over her loved ones. Even in her final days, her message remained simple and clear: "I want my family to always show love and to embrace each other."

Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilfred, Sr.; her son, Ronald; her parents, Rev. Mitchell, Sr. and Emma; and her brothers, Mitchell Jr., David, Andrew, Sam, Frederick, and Phillip.

Her enduring legacy of love lives on through her sister, Josephine; her brother, Clack; her children, Wilfred Jr. (Elaine), Lynn (Beverly), Gary, Paul, and Sandra (John); followed by many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a large, loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Friendship Baptist Church, 2600 Central Avenue, Homewood, AL. 35209, at 11:00AM. The Interment will be held immediately following the service at Highland Memorial Park, 3115 18th Avenue, Bessemer, Alabama, 35020.
