

She was born November 3, 1915, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to parents Minnie May (Philips) and William Comfort Taylor. Lucy worked as an inspector with Woolen Mills and later as a waitress for Bar Ten. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna, and a former member of the Charlestown First United Methodist Church.
Lucy was a member of the Eagles, VFW 1055 and Moose Lodge 1234. She was very active with Project Linus, where she was able to share her crocheting talents by making blankets for area children while they were in hospitals. Lucy also enjoyed knitting, camping, and going to yard sales.
She is survived by her three sons: Jim Leiendecker of Mesa, Arizona, Roger (Jeanene) Leiendecker Jr. of Atwater, and Larry (Lyn) Leiendecker of Ravenna. Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Robin (William) Butts, Bob (Adrienne) Leiendecker, Leslie (Mike) Trehern, Jim (Monica) Leiendecker, Peggy (Brian) Christ, Kathy (Don) Laegel, Donna Leiendecker, and Eva Gilligan Leiendecker, as well as all of her loving great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Roger Leiendecker Sr., her brothers Fred and Bill, her sisters Bea, Jean, and Donna, and her granddaughter Denise Bricker.
Friends will be received Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral service officiated by Reverend Stephen Sparling at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
