

She was the beloved wife of 72 years to Nick J. Mendiola and the beloved daughter of the late Susie (nee Ruffi) and Galliano Trocchio. She was preceded in death by her brothers Danny Trocchio (Blanche), Eddie Trocchio (Lil), and Willie Trocchio (Gladys), and sisters Bernadine Wood (Robert), Marie Ford (Danny) and Verna Flogge (Andy).
Cherished mother of Carmella S. Vacca (Tony) and Anthony J. Mendiola (Carole), loving grandmother of Erin Gaffney, Danny Gaffney, Nick Mendiola (Brittney), Nina Wandrisco (Zack), and special great-grandmother to three: Marlowe Kate Mendiola, Leah Antonia Wandrisco, and Emilia Mendiola.
Madonna devoted her life to her family as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and cousin who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was an avid reader and a loyal Notre Dame fan. Her greatest joy and source of pride were the relationships she cherished with her family and friends. She was admired for her kindness and warm spirit and will stay in our hearts and prayers every day.
Friends and family will be received Friday, July 19, 2019, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna, with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. A reception will begin at 1:00 PM at the Ravenna Elks Club, 776 N. Freedom St., Ravenna.
