

Marian Jean Fisher, 81 of Randolph, formerly of Ravenna, passed away peacefully at home due to the complications of Parkinson's disease on August 16, 2011. She was born September 12, 1929, in Mantua Village, Ohio the daughter of Leon and Alice (Cooper) Hall.
She was a hair stylist, molding machine operator, short order cook, a green thumb gardener, to name only a few but her most favorite vocation always, was Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Marian was a member of First Christian Church of Ravenna and loved being an active member of "The Cozy Quitters" who made quilts for the needy. She loved being a member of the "Lunch Bunch" also of the First Christian Church family. She loved animals especially her cats that provided her comfort and joy during her down days.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Jack J. Fisher, parents Leon and Alice (Cooper) Hall, brother Manning Hall, sister Evelyn (Hall) Fasani, daughter-in-law Holly Fisher, and grandson Nicholas Holzapfel. She is survived by daughter Pamela J. Wise (Charlie) of Randolph, Ohio, sons Terry Fisher and Daniel Fisher both of Columbus, Ohio; Six Granddaughters: Jessica Fuller (Scott), Tessa Samblanet (Todd), Beth Wise, Monica Holzapfel (Ike), Petrina Bishop (Dave) and Sarah Steinel (Dean); Nine Great-Grandchildren: Aleena, Arissa and Kyle Samblanet, Aidan, Malana Bishop, Amelia, Matthew Fuller, Marianne Steinel and Tad Holzapfel.
Friends and family will be received at calling hours on Sunday, August 21, 2011, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main Street, Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Perry Mattern at 11:00 AM on Monday. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio.
The family wished to extend thanks to all who have touched their Mother's life with kindness care and love, be it Robinson Memorial Hospital VNS, Portage Physical Therapists, Randolph Fire Department, private duty aides, friends and family who have remembered Marian with visits, good food, cards, prayers and much love over the years.
