Marie L. Ayers Miller

She was born September 18, 1924, in Pence Springs, West Virginia, daughter of the late George W. and Dolly (Spinks) Ayers. Marie lived in Ravenna since 1951, having moved here from West Virginia. She retired from Kent State University after 20 years of service.

Marie was preceded in death by her son George E. Miller in 2004.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Joseph S. “Joe” Miller of Ravenna; her daughter: Mary Ann Deison of WV; sister: Evelyn Reed of WV; sister-in-law: Mary Ruth Boyd of WV; grandsons: John Franklin of Greenville, SC, Scott Franklin of Bonney Lake, WA, Jeff Franklin of Kentucky, Joseph G. Miller and wife Mara of Alliance; great-grandsons: Zachery and Jack Miller of Alliance; also survived by many other loving relatives in the Ravenna area.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be Grandview Memorial Park.
